About Me
Hi, my name is Beverly and I have been working with dogs for over 35 years.
I have studied with the British College of Canine Studies, IMDT (Institute of Modern Dog Trainers), The School of Canine Science, BAT (Behaviourial Adjustment Training) which is specifically for anxious and reactive dogs and TBTE (Training Behind the Ears) which again helps reactive dogs.
I firmly believe that one size does not fit all but, using the latest science based learning methods achieved through on-going training with many respected organisations along with good old fashioned hands-on experience, gained over a few decades, I am able to deal with most situations and to help set you and your dog up to succeed.
I qualified as a Canine Hydrotherapist in the early noughties and owned one of the first canine hydrotherapy centres in the country, working alongside vets to rehabilitate dogs post injury and surgical intervention. My qualifications included canine anatomy, orthopaedic and spinal conditions and pain management.
Having fostered many rescue dogs to prepare them for their new ‘forever’ homes, adopted rescue dogs of my own with reactivity issues both dog-on-dog and dog-on-human, severe anxiety and overwhelmed by the world around them, I am well placed to understand the emotional journey and the toll it can take on you. Something that trainers and behaviourists, who have not owned such dogs, can fully appreciate. I know your pain and frustrations and I am here to tell you, you can do this, with the right help.
I have worked with national and local dog rescue centres as a volunteer behaviourist helping fosterers and adopters with rescue dogs and the issues they experience.
My Services
For behaviour modifications, I work only on a one-to-one basis either at your home or at my base depending on what is required. I don’t run group training sessions.
I offer a First Session which is between 2 and 3 hours and allows me to understand what you need my help with, establish what is causing the problem and to put some initial training in place, giving you the tools to carry on the training after I have left. A lot of the problems I encounter can be dealt with in the first session but, depending on the complexity of the problem or if there are several behaviours that need work, it may require several follow up sessions which are normally around an hour.
I also offer a Course of 6 Sessions which ensures you get all the help you need, when you need it and offers a saving of £100 if you book this at the outset.
All new behaviour modification clients would start with either a First Session or the Course of 6 Sessions.
If you would like to book with me then please click on the service you require which will take you to my calendar. Here you can book an appointment which is convenient for you.
All bookings are payable at time of booking as this reduces my administration time and allows me more time to train and cuts down on wasted appointments.
Payments are non-refundable but does allow you to re-schedule as many times as you need as long as you re-schedule giving a minimum of 24 hours’ notice.

My Reviews
“Beverly was very helpful and informative, a pleasure to work with! Diesel loved her and is already responding well to training . We highly recommend.”
“I found Beverly knowledgeable and practical with her advice. I particularly liked the way she explained the reasoning behind her thinking and could see the logic of what she was saying. I am looking forward to trying out some of the strategies she suggested!”
