Important Information

The small print that I know is boring but needs reading nevertheless.

The behaviourist collects and processes personal information about you and your dog when you engage us for services. This is essential for us to carry out the service effectively and fulfil our regulatory obligations. We use personal information collected for internal record keeping, completion of correspondence with you and implementation of services.

The choice of how much information you provide is always in your control, however, certain information may be required in order for us to provide a service. We will not distribute your personal information to third parties other than with your veterinarian unless we have your permission to do so or are required to by law or regulation.

If you believe that any information of yours in our possession is incorrect, or if you wish to cease corresponding with us or for us to remove your information from our system, please contact us and we will take the necessary steps subject to legal regulation – within 28 days of receipt.

How We Collect Information
We obtain information when a visitor uses this website, when they place an order, request information, join our mailing list, enter a competition or submit feedback or a testimonial.

What Type Of Information Is Collected
The personal information collected may include visitor’s names, addresses, email addresses and email access information, IP addresses and information regarding website pages accessed and when that took place. If someone makes a purchase online or over the telephone, their card information is not held by us, it is collected by our third-party payment processors, who specialise in the secure online capture and processing of credit/debit card transactions, as explained below.

Why Information Is Collected
We hold information for operational purposes, for example processing an order, dealing with queries, reviewing past purchases. Retaining an order history enables us to tailor our product range and marketing information (e.g. promotions and special offers) to our visitors’ requirements. If a visitor opts-in to receiving newsletters or email communications from us, we also use the information we collect to keep them up to date with our business.

How Long We Retain The Information Collected
We are legally required to hold some types of information to fulfil our statutory obligations. This includes personal information about our visitors which we retain for as long as is necessary as required under the GDPR or as long as is set out in any relevant contract our visitors hold with us. Visitors may check details on how long we retain information by contacting the Data Protection Officer.

How The Information We Collect Is Used
We may use our visitor’s information to:

– Process orders made

– Carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between website visitors and us

– Managing competition entries

– Notifying website visitors and customers of changes to our services

– Send communications visitors requested or may be interested including mailings, activity details, promotions & launches

– If visitors have opted-in to hear from carefully selected partners.

Who Has Access To Visitor’s Information
We may pass visitor’s information to our third-party service providers, agents subcontractors and other associated organisations for the purposes of completing tasks and providing services to our visitors on our behalf (for example to deliver an order or for administrational purposes). However, when we use third-party service providers, we disclose only the personal information that is necessary to deliver the service and we have a contract in place that requires them to keep any information provided secure and not to use it for their own direct marketing purposes. We do not release website visitor’s information to third parties for them to use for their own direct marketing purposes unless we are required to do so by law, for example, by a court order or for the purposes of prevention of fraud or other crime. When visitors use our secure online payment page, their order is processed by a third-party payment processor, who specialises in the secure online capture and processing of credit/debit card transactions. If visitors have any questions regarding secure transactions, they should contact us.

Website visitors and customers have a choice about whether or not they wish to receive information from us.
